Lunamonda , an "entry level" beer from the Mezzavia brewery, is a light, top-fermented craft beer that harks back to the blanche style, reinterpreted by the master brewer in a key that favors enjoyment. Freshness and ease of drinking are its main characteristics, which derive from the use of noble hops and spices typical of this style. The low acidity and moderate carbonation contribute to making Lunamonda a beer suitable for drinking "tout court" or as an aperitif. At the table it can be successfully combined with light vegetable dishes, very fresh cheeses, raw fish or tempura. The combination with fruit is unsuspected and intriguing. Lunamonda is, in Sardinia, the name of the game of leapfrog, a playful and graceful game like this beer; but not only that: its slightly veiled straw color recalls the full moon, which is found, in a play of references, once again in the name.
